How this directory is built
Listings come from the Georgia Department of Public Health accessible list of Certified Installer and Pumper Companies, the HTML copy of DPH's roster PDFs. Of 2010 rows, 1426 are certified as installers only — they build systems and are not approved to pump one, so they are not published here. That leaves 534 in-state companies certified as Pumper or Installer and Pumper. The county is the company's business location, not a service-area map.
Certification is not the whole picture. DPH separately requires a pumper company to hold a current County Septage Removal Permit, and says that the county permit must be renewed annually with the local county office. This directory does not check county permits, and appearing on the state list is not evidence of one.
Plumbing, grading and portable-restroom firms hold this certification too, and DPH keeps portable sanitation providers on a separate list that overlaps with this one. 301 of the 534 companies name septic in their business name; the rest carry a note asking you to confirm household septic work before booking. DPH publishes no certificate number and no street address for these companies, so neither appears on a card.
