How this directory is built
Listings come from the Alabama Onsite Wastewater Board roster search, filtered to Pumper licences with the inactive option left off. Installer, manufacturer and portable-restroom licences are separate license types and are not published here. Of 446 rows returned, 21 came back without an Active status and are held back.
Alabama county pages work differently from the rest of this site. Most states publish a mailing county; the board records each licensee's counties of operation, so a company appears on the pages for the counties it declares to the regulator. 16 companies declare all 67; those are listed last on each county page so local firms come first. A declared county is not a promise to serve a specific address.
The board licenses individual people, not companies, so 425 active licences become 408 company cards with every licensee named. Cards are keyed on company name and phone together, because unrelated firms in different parts of Alabama trade under the same generic names. 176 of the 408 companies name septic in their business name; the rest carry a note asking you to confirm household septic work first.
