- Confirm the permit status still says In Effect before hiring.

The county displayed in the SCDES layer belongs to the mapped site address. It does not guarantee that the company serves every property in that county—or only that county. Ask about coverage and travel charges for your exact address.
How SepticByCounty filters the state list
The SCDES Pumpers layer includes septic, portable-restroom, grease, plumbing, waste, and other businesses. Our homeowner shortlist only publishes In Effect records whose company name explicitly says septic or septage. We do not turn an ambiguous company name into a septic claim.
