How this directory is built

Under MCL 324.11702, nobody may pump or haul septage in Michigan without two EGLE licences at once: a septage waste servicing licence for the business and a septage waste vehicle licence for every truck. That pair is the credential this directory records, taken from the EGLE Septage Hauler Directory, which stamps its own refresh date — September 4, 2026 for this snapshot.

All 364 licensed businesses are published, together holding 1241 separately licensed and sealed tank vehicles; each card says how many that business runs. The licence is Michigan's septic pumping credential, so nothing is filtered out by name — but portable-restroom, excavating and drain firms hold it too, so the 169 businesses whose name does not say septic carry a note asking you to confirm household work first.

The county is not a service area. An EGLE septage licence authorises pumping, transport and disposal anywhere in Michigan. The county on a card is where EGLE files the licence, tied to the certified local health department that inspects the trucks and sites. 23 licensees have a business address outside Michigan and are filed under a Michigan county they work into; their cards say so.
