Book for the property, not just the nearest town

Give the full address and explain whether it is a year-round home, a seasonal cabin or a shared system. For Hood Canal or lake properties, mention narrow roads, steep driveways, buried lids and the distance from the truck to the tank. Ask what pumping volume, disposal, travel, extra hose and digging are included.

Ask whether you need pumping, an operation-and-maintenance inspection, or both. The county lists pumpers and inspection specialists separately; a pumping entry alone is not inspection certification. Confirm current certification with Environmental Health before hiring.

Why expand here?

The county's first-quarter 2026 health statistics report 28,516 onsite-sewage-system records. That is evidence of a substantial septic maintenance market, not a count of occupied homes or a measured household septic percentage. We do not turn administrative records into a household ratio or assume every home in Shelton or Belfair uses septic.
